The OpenSubdiv Kit for Modo is a free, open-source plugin that brings Pixar’s OpenSubdiv subdivision surface framework into Modo. This toolkit lets you apply robust, production-grade subdivision to your meshes with full control over crease weights, feature preservation and more.
This kit contains a modeling command and a procedural mesh operator for macOS and Windows.

⚙️ Installing
- Click Download (enter
$0or any amount to support development) - Install the
.lpkfile by simply dragging it into Modo - Restart Modo — the toolkit will appear in your Kits panel. The procedural operator will appear in the appropriate menu (e.g., Mesh Operations → Polygon) .
🔄 If you already have an older version installed, please remove it before updating.
🧩 Compatibility & Requirements
- Built for Modo 16.1v8 or later.
- Requires OpenSubdiv libraries (see the repository for build instructions).
- Source code available for developers who wish to extend or integrate further.
