🛠️ Skeleton Kit for Modo

Skeleton Kit for Modo is an experimental, open-source plugin that implements the straight-skeleton algorithm for polygon modeling workflows inside Modo. Use it to generate topological skeletons from 2D polygons (including polygons with holes), create skeleton-based extrusions, produce offset/duplicate loops, and drive procedural geometry with precise control.

✨ Key Features

• Straight-Skeleton mode: Build topological skeletons inside polygons (supports holes).
• Extrude mode: Create skeleton-based extrusions with controls such as Maximum Height and Scale.
• Duplicate / Offset modes: Generate inner/outer loops with holes, create face polygons from offset loops, and control offset/shift/steps.
• Two operation modes: Tool plugin (button on the Polygon tab) and a procedural Mesh Operator (Polygon → Mesh Operator category).
• CGAL-powered: Implemented using CGAL for robust geometry processing.

⚙️ Installation & Usage

1. Click Download (enter $0 to get it free).
2. Download the ZIP file
3. Drag & drop the .lpk into your Modo viewport to install. Restart Modo.
4. Access the tool from the Polygon tab (click the Skeleton button), or use the procedural operator from the Mesh Operator panel.

If upgrading, delete the previous version before installing the new one.

🧩 Compatibility & Requirements

• Built for Modo 16.1v8 or later.
• Requires: CGAL, libigl, Boost, GMP, MPFR libraries for full build environment.
• Developers: A CMake-based build setup is included in the repository.
